About Us


I’m Babs and I’d like to tell you a little about myself.  I’ll be brief and try not to bore you.  Art and drawing has always been a love of mine.  You just have to find the time and the discipline to pursue it.  I attended the Art Institute of Chicago on a scholarship I won while in grade school.  Studying at the Academy of Fine Arts was an eye opening experience.  All through high school and college, art was my major and teaching it someday was a dream of mine.  I did teach several art classes at St. Isodore's Grade School in Calumet Park, Illinois before moving to Colorado.

While my passion has always been a love of animals, the desire to pick up a pencil and do a little sketching has never been far from my thoughts.

My love for the Irish Setter and for all of God’s creatures has taken me down many paths.  I share a commitment to do what I can to help the rescue groups that work so tirelessly saving setters that have unfortunately fallen by the wayside.  I have always been involved in fund raising for special needs setters and for setters needing rescuing.  These unfortunate souls lose their homes and find themselves in shelters through no fault of their own.

By putting my talent to work, I produced the first All Setter Calendar in existence for the year 2006.  It is a computer generated, comb-bound calendar with photos of English, Gordon, Irish, and Irish Red and White Setters.  Most of the photos were given to me by friends and list members sharing their setter companions on the SettersAll List.  You can view the cover by going to my calendar page and they are still available should you be interested.

To follow along the same lines and use selected photos I am now introducing a line of setter, other canine, feline, nature and wildlife cards for all occasions. Most wildlife and nature cards will be photographs that have been taken by either myself or my son from out here in the country.  I hope you will enjoy these cards and lend your support by purchasing them.

From time to time I will be adding new cards of nature’s beauty all around us.  Later, I will be taking special orders and presenting different sayings so that you may pick a card and match it with a saying of your choice.



Goals

It is my intent to bring to you affordable cards that will make you smile, cover costs, make a little for the time and money invested and be able to contribute a little monetary support to All Setter Rescue; a rescue group that does a lot to help the setter breeds whenever it can.
